InsTech London event: 26 June 2017

Dear InsTech’ers, in 2016 all the noise at our events was about what the start-ups were up to, with the odd mention of an “incumbent” when they opened a garage, partnered with an incubator or funded an entrepreneur.

Well, based on what we heard on Monday night things are getting interesting, with significant investments of staff, money and management time.

It was great to have over 200 of youhearing how some of the London Market’s leading brokers and carriers are approaching innovation. The answer it seems is pilots, partnerships, leadership engagement, cultural change and myriad other ways. With a noticeable difference between the various players in both direction and speed.

See a write up by Matthew Granthere.

Videos are available here (some with subtitles, so no excuse for not viewing in the office. Keeping up with what the competition’s is up to is core to your job after all!).

Insurance where it counts: new solutions to new risks

Insurtech companies are emerging at the rate of over one a day and we are all self-publishing now. Twitter and Linkedin pump out real-time updates. Every day brings more opinions and an inbox full of insurtech news. So much choice, and too little time. How do we filter out the useful and important from the irrelevant and distracting?
